2020 was a year of many successes, the greatest of which was\u00a0achieving\u00a0our challenging targets\u00a0despite the COVID-19 pandemic,\u00a0which\u00a0began\u00a0to\u00a0spread globally\u00a0at the beginning of the year.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

We started the year with a<\/span>\u00a0strong<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>order backlog<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>and the\u00a0<\/span>received\u00a0<\/span>projects were completed without\u00a0<\/span>any\u00a0<\/span>significant delays. Although our business is of an aftermarket nature, in other words,<\/span>\u00a0one where<\/span>\u00a0the effect<\/span>s<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>of a<\/span>\u00a0recession<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>may<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>be<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>seen later<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>the pandemic<\/span>\u00a0itself<\/span>\u00a0did not have a significant impact on our sales, which\u00a0<\/span>sends a positive signal for\u00a0<\/span>the\u00a0<\/span>ongoing<\/span>\u00a0year as well.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

From my\u00a0<\/span>personal\u00a0<\/span>point of view, there were two decisive factors\u00a0<\/span>for\u00a0<\/span>our<\/span>\u00a0success\u00a0<\/span>in<\/span>\u00a02020. Firstly, the excellent devotion of our staff\u00a0<\/span>under challenging<\/span>\u00a0conditions. Success has required active and determined management and\u00a0<\/span>a\u00a0<\/span>close monitoring of expenses. Secondly, successful financial management development projects have also had a significant impact on the outcome.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

After a successful year, it is encouraging to continue forward<\/span>\u00a0with optimism<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span>We at VEO sta<\/span>r<\/span>ted the\u00a0<\/span>New Year\u00a0<\/span>2021\u00a0<\/span>by looking ahead to the future\u00a0<\/span>with positive expectations. Our management team is preparing an updated five-year strategy for VEO,\u00a0<\/span>which\u00a0<\/span>I believe will bring even more dynam<\/span>ic<\/span>\u00a0prospects\u00a0<\/span>to\u00a0<\/span>our operations.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

On behalf of the\u00a0<\/span>b<\/span>oard, I would like to warmly thank the entire VEO staff for their excellent performance\u00a0<\/span>under\u00a0<\/span>quite different<\/span>\u00a0and challenging circumstances.\u00a0<\/span>2020 was a significant indication of our performance in a tough situation,<\/span>\u00a0and I believe that because we were able to succeed despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, we are now\u00a0<\/span>ready\u00a0<\/span>to\u00a0<\/span>face whatever the future brings<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
