Sustainability requires cooperation and shared vision<\/h1>\n

Over the years, we have consistently developed our <\/span>sustainability<\/span> at VEO<\/span><\/span>, and today our entire<\/span> <\/span>business model is based <\/span>on <\/span>speeding up <\/span>the <\/span>energy transition<\/span> and<\/span><\/span> developing the world towards a sustainable future<\/span>.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/h4>\n

 <\/p>\n

In our own operations, <\/span>sustainability<\/span> work<\/span> is <\/span>well on track<\/span>. <\/span><\/span>We always design for need, and solutions that last for decades in use.\u202fWe take care of the existing <\/span>plants and systems<\/span> by offering maintenance contracts and other services that extend the lifecycle of the plants.\u202fWe have developed <\/span>recycling,<\/span> and our electricity <\/span>use<\/span> a<\/span>s well as <\/span>rethought <\/span>our <\/span>packaging materials.\u202f<\/span>We take <\/span>happiness and well-being of our people seriously<\/span>,<\/span> and continuously improve <\/span>our working conditions. <\/span>We are constantly innovating <\/span>new technologies<\/span> to create even smarter and more sustainable energy and industrial solutions.\u202fVEO<\/span>\u2019<\/span>s <\/span>eHPG<\/span> and the latest VEDA Light <\/span>are <\/span>good examples of <\/span>our developer\u2019s mindset<\/span>.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

This long-term work is <\/span>now <\/span>paying off, and <\/span>for example in 2023 we <\/span>reduced our own carbon footprint<\/span> 11 per cent compared to 2022<\/span>.\u202fIt is a pleasure to note that our goal, own operations to be carbon neutral by 2030, is no longer so far away.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

However, our <\/span>sustainability<\/span> is not limited to our own operations; we must <\/span>of course <\/span>act <\/span>responsibly<\/span> across our entire value chain, including raw material and <\/span>component<\/span> supplies<\/span>, <\/span>logistics<\/span>, customer support and maintenance <\/span>services, to name <\/span>a few<\/span>.<\/span> Especially in the beginning of our<\/span> value<\/span> chain we<\/span> still have work to do.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

T<\/span>his work has already begun, and currently<\/span> we<\/span><\/span> are developing a process to collect and view emission data across the entire value chain<\/span><\/span>.\u202fBecause only based on high-quality and <\/span>accurate<\/span> information, we can make useful development actions, for example, in relation to raw-material <\/span>sources<\/span> or packaging material<\/span> use<\/span>.<\/span>\u202f<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

However, <\/span>it is <\/span>difficult<\/span> to <\/span>change <\/span>the course<\/span> alone<\/span>.\u202fDeveloping <\/span>sustainability<\/span> throughout the value chain requires a shared willingness and <\/span>sustainability<\/span> from the customer and suppliers as well.\u202fTherefore, cooperation and promoting it with responsible companies is at the heart of our entire <\/span>sustainability<\/span> work.\u202fI am sure that <\/span>together,<\/span> by consistently developing <\/span>sustainability<\/span>, we can automate <\/span>it <\/span>in our field.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
